DOOM 2 RELOADED

Doom 2 Reloaded is a megawad for use with Doom 2.

Author: eschdoom, current status: Initial release complete.

Design

D2R is designed for single player. Co-operative and deathmatch play will also be possible but don't expect too much.
The PWAD includes 32 maps, new graphics and demos (compatible with original Doom 2 v1.9).

The plan was:

1. Make something with a similar story to the original Doom 2.
2. Skill level: Not too hard, to be more fun than a challenge.
3. Make all maps playable standalone from a pistol start.
4. Make all maps playable in less than 10 minutes (UV Max).
5. Make all maps playable with original Doom 2.
6. Maintain a common thread / continuity between the maps.

Maps

10 space maps (Phobos), 10 Earth maps and 10 Hell maps.

Demos

Check out some awesome demos made by some very experienced players at the D2Reload page on the
Doomed Speed Demo Archives (home page: http://doomedsda.us/).

I recommend using Chocolate Doom or prBoom+ to watch the demos.

1. Create a shortcut to the source port executable (Right-cick exe and click Create Shortcut.
2. Right-click the shortcut and click Properties.
3. In the Target box add the following parameters to the end of the line:
       -iwad doom2.wad -file d2rmus.wad d2reload.wad -playdemo example.lmp
   (Replacing example.lmp with the name of the demo file you want to watch)
